Clubs

BEFORE SCHOOL – YDP currently deliver various clubs before school, including: Boxercise, Dance, Gymnastics, Fun Fitness and many more. These sessions engage the children and prepare them for their day ahead.

SENSORY CIRCUIT – YDP believe sensory circuits are a great way to support learning and behavior in school. They can be used to help energise and settle children, ready for the school day. The session is split into 3 sections: alerting, organising and calming.

Alerting – This section focuses on stimulating the central nervous system in preparation for learning. They allow a child that is full of energy to focus and a more relaxed child to become motivated and prepared.

Organising – This section involves activities which demand the body and brain to work simultaneously, this supports children’s coordination, balance and concentration skills.

Calming – This section incorporates various activities, including pressed sensations, which concentrate on calming a child and developing their awareness of their body and space.

LUNCH CLUB – Lunch Clubs give children something to do during their lunch hour, and they encourage them to stay active and involved in sport activity. These sessions can also be used as an incentive for children showing good behavior. The clubs cater for children with all levels of physical abilities.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS – YDP offer a wide range of sports activities delivered after the school day. The variety of clubs are adapted to ensure they are suitable for different ages, ranging from foundation stage through to Key Stage 2. Some of the sport activities currently on offer are Football, Dance, Athletics, Cricket, Boxercise, Hockey and more. By staying active and having fun with friends, after school clubs can be a great way for children to finish the school day.

YDP do not only deliver these clubs, but also create school teams and arrange matches/interschool competitions for the school.

YDP Clubs are being delivered in both Primary and Senior Schools.

“Youth Dreams Project have changed the usual average after school clubs and PE lessons, into fun, positive and motivational sessions that not only give children confidence but give them access to sports that would not normally be available in schools. The half term sports camps provide affordable childcare, which get my children active in team sports and activities. From Boxercise to dance – I could not fault the service and coaches.”

Becky Dickson
Deputy Headteacher at St Thomas More
Since we have engaged with YDP, we have noted a significant improvement in the children being able to build relationships and work in partnership. The coaches spend time getting to know the pupils. They know what motivates and inspires them and use this knowledge to get the best out of the children. The pupils are engaged, enthused and are successful. The children look forward to their sessions all week and it provides a time for them to bond and develop their social skills and self-esteem! Thank you YDP!
Richard Lord
Principal, SIS Friedrichshafen
I have worked with YDP for ten years in three different schools both in the UK and in Germany. Our students have benefitted in a number of ways, from group work and mentoring to bespoke camps during the school holidays. The feedback that we continually receive from students, parents and teachers is emphatically positive, with the enthusiastic and can-do approach of the YDP team members always singled out. We look forward to working with YDP for many more years to come.
